Join Cantor Beth at Rio Grande Park (formerly Kit Carson Park) for the Tashlikh / Casting Off ritual.

Please do not bring bread or any type of food to toss into the water. Ditches and arroyos flow back to the river, and decomposing food pollutes and disrupts the natural balance of our water creating excess nitrogen which in turn, creates deadly algae blooms that deplete the oxygen necessary for plants and animals to survive and live in the water.

We will chant, share, pray, meditate and then choose native leaves, small stones and sticks to cast off - or bring your tallit and shake it over the water. Click here for prayer sheet / Download and print your own —prayer sheets will be provided at the park.

We will then walk a short distance (200 feet or less) on the flat gravel pathways next to the moving water in Clear Ditch which runs along the west side of the park. If the Rio Grande has water, people are also welcome to walk or drive to the river overlook across the road at Tingley Beach Park or from the bridge on Central Ave. to finish Tashlikh on their own.

Rio Grande Park parking lot is located at the corner of Tingley Drive SE and Alcalde Drive SE —Kit Carson Dr. runs on the east side of the park.
