June 1st 2025 for Shavuot: A First Annual Meeting of Humanity (not just numbers)

We celebrate the giving of our Torah at Mt Sinai, the first harvest, and firsts of repairs (Tikkun). This year we want to open up this holiday to our greater spiritual community. Over dinner, some of NS finest will introduce and guide us through Shavuot. Our guests will be invited to join in, and welcome their
wisdom informed by their studies. We will offer them shmi'ah shelanu (our hearing) and l'ibenu (our hearts).

We are also welcoming our new Rabbi Intern, Josie Felt, who will be joining Nahalat Shalom's finest, so we may all meet her and that she will be able to meet our greater spiritual community. We hope she can count on you along her journey, as a source of wisdom and someone she can count on for guidance with the local community.

A giant Mezuzah was donated to NS! We would like to hang it to commemorate the occasion. We need a congregant or team to be our scribe(s) for the blessing to place inside. Drop your finest letters, love, and attention. It will be perfect enough for your home, blemish and all. We will invite everyone AND our guests to write something, and place it in the Mezuzah. It will remind all who enter that our Bayt is a Bayt L'khoolam (house for all).

Dinner will be catered, AND you are welcome to share a dish.
We will be gathering in our beautiful courtyard, masks are encouraged inside.
