Beginning Adult Hebrew - Level Two.

This class is designed for adults who can recognize the Hebrew letters and know what sounds they make (decoding) but are just starting to become comfortable with combining these consonants and vowels into words and phrases that have meaning. It’s an exciting time in Hebrew learning—when marks on a page go from unidentifiable ‘squiggles’ to words like “Shalom”!

We will use the book Prayerbook Hebrew the Easy Way, (Anderson, EKS publishing. often available used). which assumes very basic knowledge of Hebrew letter sounds and moves into word meanings, basic grammar and prayer language. We laugh a lot, have fun and learn at the same time. Get ready to read and understand the Chanukah prayers in time for Chanukah!

This class will meet on Wednesdays from October 16 to December 18, 2019
