Hershel Weiss
Hershel helped initiate Nahalat Shalom's annual Sephardic festival in 2010, has served as Festival Director for many years, and was a founder of Casa Sefarad, which he currently directs. He has been part of a Natalie Goldberg inspired writing group since 1994. Hershel has had a rigorous training as a furniture maker and is responsible for the creation of Nahalat Shalom's portico and entry doors, the aron kodesh and torah table and other wooden fixtures in the sanctuary, as well as aron kodeshim for other synagogues in New Mexico and Arizona.
