Shavuot Celebration: Stones of Remembrance - Sharing our Sacred Stories. During this potluck of celebration we ask folks to bring a vegetarian dish to nourish our physical bodies and a pivotal story to nourish our souls. At one point during the evening folks will have the opportunity to place a small piece of paper with a name or some brief memory (or a wallet sized photo) into the cracks of Nahalat Shalom’s adobe wall, where they will be sealed with a small stone (rajuela) and then plastered over with mud (enjarre). ( It is customary in both Ashkenazic and Sefardic traditions to bring a dairy dish, though some of us have to rely on the non-dairy cows for our “dairy” foods). Led by Esteban Rael
