Alavados Holy days band is expanding to include a chorus of singers. If you can sing on pitch and enjoy singing our prayers in Hebrew, English & Ladino —and you are planning on attending High Holiday services, please CONTACT Beth Cohen at cohenedmunds@netzero.net for more information.
The rehearsal this Sunday, August 31st is for Erev Rosh Hashanah. Please Note: You don't have to commit to all of the services, but there are specific rehearsal dates for specific services.

NS High Holidays DATES /TIMES:
SEP 13th SAT 6:30pm: Selichot-The Dance of Forgiveness (w/Havdalah).
SEP 22nd MON 6:30-8:00pm: Erev Rosh Hashana service.
SEP 23rd TUE 10am-1pm: Rosh Hashana Day #1 service.
[SEP 24th WED 9-10am: Tashlich at River w/Beth and RH Day#2].
OCT 1st WED 6:30-8:30pm: Kol Nidre / erev Yom Kippur.
OCT 2nd THU:
10am-2pm: YK morning-daytime service.
5:30-6:15pm (time TBA/ 5-5:45p?): Martyrology & Yizkor service.
6:30-7:15pm (time TBA/ 6-6:48?/ sundown is at 6:48pm): Neilah service.
6:48 or 7:15pm: Community break the fast potluck.
OCT 14th TUE 6:30-8:30pm: Simchat Torah Service & play with The Community band.

REHEARSALS for HHDS - Sundays in sanctuary 3-5PM:
AUG 24th - Selichot (and some RH eve if time).
AUG 31st - RH eve (and RH day if time). LABOR DAY WEEKEND
SEP 7th - RH day & review Selichot.
SEP 14th - YK DAY.
SEP 21st - KOL NIDRE
SEP 28th - KOL NIDRE including YKday w/ Yizkor & Neilah.
OCT 5th - w/Community band & Rikud for S.T. service on OCT 14th.
