Tent Minyan with Cantor JoAnn Rice

The Tent Minyan is a service that explores Jewish diversity while celebrating our commonality. We welcome Renewal, Reconstructionist, Reform, Conservative and Orthodox members as we gather on the last Saturday of each month. Informal Hebrew chanting begins at about 9:45 am, and is followed at 10:00 am by the Morning service and Torah reading. At approximately 11:30, we will share Kiddush, followed by a D'var Torah (study session). The service is presented in three forms-Hebrew text, transliteration, and translation-so that everyone can participate in worship. Join us for this joyous, song-filled Shabbat.

The final verses of parshat "Ki tëtzë" (Deut. 25:17-19) offer an intriguing paradox: who (or what) is Amalek, and how can we both "blot out the memory" and "never forget?" Join us as we discuss this famous passage.
