Join Alavados, Rikud and our community as we chant, pray and dance the Selichot prayers which ask for divine forgiveness. As we meditate on the 13 attributes/ trece atributos, we prepare ourselves and renew for the new year through teshuvah (return) and deep introspection of ‘cheshbon hanefesh’ (an accounting of our soul). We will greet the night and new week with the Havdalah ceremony, sound a ‘Tekiah Gedola’ on the shofar and chant ‘Rachamana D’aney’ an ancient prayer in Aramaic: “Compassionate one who answers the poor and broken-hearted, Answer Us.”
