A letter to Nahalat Shalom
members and prospective members, from Congregation President
Marg Elliston:
July 20, 2007
Dear Nahalat
Shalom Member,
It’s a very
exciting time to be part of Congregation Nahalat Shalom. We
appreciate every member of our community. Please use the
form sent to you in the mail or downloaded from this page to indicate your desire to continue to be a
member.
Membership dues:
Nahalat Shalom
relies on dues for salaries for the Rabbi, Cantorial Soloist,
Administrator and upkeep of the building, utilities,
insurance-everything that makes a viable community. Membership
dues are a tax deductible donation. Please be as generous as
possible when making your pledge. Our dues structure is based on
2% of the household adjusted gross income. We value every member
and encourage each person’s participation. Please send enclosed
pledge form with payment before August 31st
High Holiday Seating:
Seating in the
sanctuary is limited. In order to ensure that you and your
family have seats, we are issuing seat coupons. Please remember
to bring them with you. There is a suggested donation for
guests and non-members. We encourage guests to order seats
ahead of time. Money will not be collected at the entrance of
the synagogue. If seats are available, members and guests who
have not paid in advance will be able to make arrangements
during the High Holidays in the gallery.
