Following are some of the community-wide or congregation-specific programs and events that Nahalat Shalom sponsors, participates in, or suppports:
- Elderly Outreach Programs are conducted throughout Albuquerque and at
Shalom House for affiliated and unaffiliated elders
- Jewish Hospice Services
- Resource for spiritual feminism and interfaith cooperation
- Founding member of the Hevra Kadisha (Burial Society), a
diverse group of rabbis and others committed to providing servies to grieving families
- Sponsored Community Hanukkah Festival for two years duing the Jewish Federation's absence
- Outreach programs to UNM Hillel
- Alternative Israeli Independence Day Celebrations
- Anne Frank in America Exhibit
- Holocaust Remembrances
- Interfaith Holiday Services
